Increased productivity and flexibility...The TES torch change station can be used for any application where a fast and reliable torch change is required. The advantages of the system include changes in torch geometry and even preventive torch changes for replacing wear parts of TIG welding guns ABITIG® WH or MIG/MAG WH welding guns. Thanks to the modular system design, up to four TES units can be paired. The change station is controlled via a PLC or by integrating the TES module into the fieldbus system. This guarantees full control of the unit status at all times. Integrated sensors help to record the position of the change movement and identify the torch position for change. The torch change action is performed by a welding robot. This allows freedom in the design of the welding cell and offers outstanding flexibility in positioning the change station in the welding cell, whether in large gantry welding systems for heavy engineering equipment or in compact welding cells for large-scale production facilities.By combining the proven MIG/MAG WH torch neck with the integrated wire shear function, a safe torch change is ensured even if the wire burns back into the welding gun contact tip due to poor arc start, wire feed failure, etc.Advantages:Easy and automatic welding gun changeUp to four changing station units can be changedCan be used for TIG* and MIG/MAG applicationsSimple and durable designLow operating and maintenance costsIncreased uptimeUse of different welding gun geometries for better part accessibility*Currently not available for cold wire feeding1.
