The new OnRobot soft gripper features three interchangeable silicone molded cups and can handle a variety of irregular shapes and delicate items, making it ideal for food and beverage and other "clean" production applications such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as manufacturing or packaging Pick and place use. The soft gripper features OnRobot's revolutionary Quick Changer, a base unit, and star or finger-shaped silicone cups for greater flexibility. The soft-grip silicone cup is dishwasher safe and complies with the food handling requirements of FDA 21 CFR (for non-fatty foods) and EC 1935/2004. The maximum payload is 2.2kg, depending on the shape, softness and friction of the item to be handled, and the grip size ranges from 11mm to 118mm, depending on the cup used.
